i used to love this album and though its worn off a bit, i still thoroughly enjoy it from time to time. Sir Psycho Sexy may be too long... but the outro kills.

great review though i have to disagree about the production. i've always thought it was a little too dry on this album.

Great, great album. Not a classic for me, but painfully close if only for what it represents.

Good job by the way, I'm digging the onslaught of RHCP reviews. I can't wait for Californication and Stadium Arcadium (yes, I'm a bit of a tool in that I like their later, more "alt-rock" sound more...not to say they don't bring the funk hard).

Give It Away is one of the best rock songs i've ever heard.

I really experience that with people's opinions on the track. They generally either love it or hate it.

Thanks a bunch. Another thing I mean to aim for.

And yes, Frusciante's solo work is so much different from RHCP.

Thanks for all the positive feeback for the discography in general guys, it's never been so good.

Well you deserve it mate, you're certainly one of the best reviewers on the site. Having a 100%

approval rating after 96 reviews is really impressive.

On a side note, I just downloaded this and I'm loving it so far, if anything listening to the Chilis

just makes me wanna learn bass even more than I already do.

I like your review. I respectfully disagree about Sir Psycho Sexy though, which I feel is an example of the Chilis at the peak of their creative genius. Hopefully they can snag a decent replacement for Frusciante and come up with something solid for their next release. Hard to believe it's been almost 4 years since Stadium Arcadium already.

What seems inconsistent to me is the fact that you gave it a 5, yet still had some nuances with it. If it's perfect, how does it have flaws?

Good review though, I love this album to death. I'm tired of it now, but it's fantastic stuff.

Best RHCP album. I'm currently digging Stadium Arcadium. Still need to hear Mother's Milk. I've heard this, Californication and By the Way.

God, this album is fucking incredible. There isn't a single second of filler on this.

"Sir Psycho Sexy" is just unbelievable.
