My band will be playing with these guys in March. Honestly, they sound pretty sweet. Not the cream of the crop, but definitely not bad! I need to get this soon.

i don't get it

is it just me or are the growls incredibly monotone at times? like i dig the new direction but some variety would have been cool.

such a vast improvement over the last record, but the cleans are god awful.
|
| |
this is just like their first album: the music is awesome but the vocals are lacking the fire. this band has tons o' potential that they will probably never achieve. i swear they have 3 guitarists too....
|
| |
They do. I mentioned it in the review haha.
|
| |
they utilized the 3 much better on the first album than this. on here, it just sounds like a regular two guitarist group with a couple overdubs. it's a bit disappointing that way.

All That Remains still slays these guys.

Thank you, Spirit. Although, their last album was shite. I'd seriously rather listen to this than that.
|
| |
Yeah me too. But TFoI slays this so bad

Heck yes.

How could you really even compare the two? I mean, this is fun sometimes. But TFoI was so much more consistent.

I bought their last cd on a hunch and also because i read that little thing that victory puts on the front of their bands' cd's and it said for fans of btbam and opeth. but when i listened to it it sorta seemed like no one who actually liked those bands would like it. The guitarists showed potential but were fairly sloppy and the vocalists were unbearable. I haven't heard this yet but I hope it's a clear progression cuz their last album had some good guitar parts but nothing very memorable and i think they might be able to pull it off on this one if they tighten up and improve vocally. Will give this a listen
