also love the prod, possibly why it's my fave Enslaved these days. Has the sharp teeth of their earlier material, yet with a greater emphasis on progressive elements. Some of their latter-day prog stuff is a little glossy

Yeah true, they have very 'Jens Bogren' production haha. It's not as bad as other bands, but the production style here is really cool. So many more bands should sound like this (although a bit more audible bass might sometimes be a nice addition)

Ved Buens Ende. Idk it just makes sense to me, especially in some of the ways they turn typically BM riffage into psychedelic (almost disso) territory and the weird half-chant / half-sung vox during a couple of the songs, like Alfablot
