i don't know why there is so much hate for this band on this site. they're not amazing but definitely like-able and they have their moments of awesomeness.

I'm glad I already listened to the album, because this review gave me absolutely know idea what to expect. Thanks for the biography of the band, I guess.
I found Contra (at times) irritating, repetitive, and a bit boring- this from someone who really liked the first album. Maybe it will grow on me?

yar Nick, they were all in the school's art dept, I just went to a design school, or should I say, 'real' art school. As in, 90% of the courses were centered around the arts and everyone graduated with a BFA after 4 years in lieu of the amount of art history we needed to study. Basically, I'm just being picky, as usual this was boss, and I'm looking forward to this.
Also - Lewis, opinions change and such but didn't you enjoy their debut at first? I remember a 3.5 review from yo ass, just curious as to why the falling out.

Gave it a listen last night. Really enjoyed some of the songs--specifically "Cousins" and "Taxi Cab."
I would have no problem if these guys released albums very similar to this in the future with minor improvements in quality. I'll still listen to them.

well from the songs ive heard, some of them are kinda a little snoozy, even if they arent like 'holy shit i cant stand it'
but cousins definitely seems to be an outlier in that respect
