I love their older style, much more frantic than the newer stuff. Future Wars opens up so amazingly, it's stuck in my head. I also love the line:

LAY YOUR SCARS OUT IN ROWS

The last time he screams "rows", his voice drips with so much emotion.

It's good.
I haven't gotten over how good the lyrics are in all of their songs.

I'm sure I'll dig it. This band really needs to release another full-length.

They do, I feel retarded that I had to wait to get Somewhere at the Bottom of the River until it was released for free. I've wanted it for a long time now.

Once they release a full length, I'm getting it right away.

You should consider downloading music for free more often.

Lol.
Well, I try to find bands that actually give their music away for free, some of my favorite bands do that.
But, if I want a CD, and a band doesn't give it away, I prefer to buy it over getting it off of megaupload or whatever. You know?

I dunno, I just figure, if I like a band a lot, I might as well give them a little bit of support and buy their CD. If they're signed to a major record company though, I don't care because the record sales don't go to the band.

"Vancouver has only a few weaknesses. The first is the first minutes of "He is Here, He Is Not Afraid." While the instrumental section is not altogether boring, Dreyer’s voice and lyrics is the strongest asset of La Dispute. Also, the softer moments that contrast the screams are much few and far between. The volume and mood shifts seen in "The Surgeon and the Scientist" are one of the best parts of the band."
