Tribe is so good, its like 'when are you never in the mood for some tribe!?' haha. Midnight Marauders is too great, and anything Dilla does is worth a listen no doubt. I'll rate this after a couple more listens, cuz I want to go ahead and just give it a 4 (but I tend to be rating happy and just go nuts with the high ratings).
I'll most def peep your felt review - I think when Slug is on, he's reaaaally good, otherwise he gets pretty average quick. Still really love Atmosphere though. I'm glad you recc'd this though - you opened up my mind to some seriously great emcees/producers. Dessa is sick! The only ones i'd heard before this was POS so i'm just really diggin it all and lookin to get other doomtree releases

Oneironaut: yeah, I think Slug sounds the best he has since Seven's Travels on the new Felt album. The production from Aesop Rock is really dope too. I'm glad more people are getting into Doomtree around here; they really are sick. Dessa's great, plus Cecil Otter and Sims both have excellent solo albums out too.
Deviant: All three P.O.S. albums are dope. The False Hopes you got was probably 12 (it's got a bird on the cover and the first songs are Flex and Knives on Fire?) but it's a good one. The main Doomtree album is excellent, my only complaint is that they could've trimmed like 3 songs off to get it down to 18 tracks. But that's a minor qualm. Lemme know what you think man. I downloaded that Mudvayne last night and 36 Crazyfists is downloading at home right now -- I should get a chance to listen to those over the next couple days bro.

Ya heard of therm? They're a NZ DnB outfit. Not hardhitting DnB, they throw a fair amount of genres into the mix. Album's called The System Is A Vampire.

I love the second half of this disc -- from Dessa's song onward it's pretty much pure gold (although Profit & Loss is really good too).
