It is. It's probably their most consistent thus far.

Final Straw> Eyes Open...

They're close, I'll give you that haha. You have sentimental value attached to Final Straw, right?

Why do you have to have sentimental value attached to it in order for it to be better?

He stated earlier in a Final Straw thread that he had so many memories tied to the album.

Actually, Eyes Open is the only album of theirs I really like (and I REALLY like it). Oh well.

What do you have?

Eyes Open is great. I find it hard to really analyse Final Straw because it was basically the first full album I ever fell in love with.
|

While i do have sentimental ties to Final Straw... I still find it to be better because its seems more straightforward and humble, where Eyes Open tends to be a bit over done and forced(see the Finnish Line, which sounds like an Ode to Coldplay)

Eyes Open > Final Straw
Although Run's my favourite song
|
| |
Set Fire to the Third Bar is the best thing they have ever done
|
| |
What do you have?
Final Straw, Eyes Open and Songs For Polarbears (which is how I first heard and liked them, but listening to the whole album is a bit tedious)

Get Clear Up.

Oh, and I listened to Final Straw again last night. Not too shabby actually, but it can't compare to the emotional impact of Eyes Open.
