Bring back the era where Sumerian bands wrote whacky riffs and were just shredding shit constantly

Ok this is mad good too. I’ve been sleeping on things! There truly is an unfathomable amount of good music out there for us all to jam to.

aspiration is front to back my favorite but the huge breakdown in the middle of drifts lives in my head lol i spend so much time thinking about how hard that lil section goes

all these songs beat ass but tracks 1-5 are esp the magic and the money

Aspiration floored me when I heard it the first time. Damn I hate what happened to their old guitarist. He knew how to write solid riffs.

This is as good a place as any to ask but can any mid-late 2000s metalcore fans help me identify a band/album that I haven't been able to recall but have vague memories of. This was a MySpace band who was either unsigned or had a single LP release on an indie label. Honestly could be wrong about both. They were metalcore and had an Aztec or Mayan theme to their music (and their album cover was definitely themed similarly, I know that for sure). They were also all relatively young. That is literally all I have. Discogs has been of zero help.

You sure it wasn’t Veil of Maya, christbait?

Butkuiss, it was not. I immediately checked their stuff on discogs but nothing matched up from the little I can remember. I don't think the band I'm thinking of made it past one album. I appreciate the tip though.
