I enjoy the vibe on this record, but none of the actual songs appeal to me at all. Admittedly post-rock isn't really a genre I like much in the first place but I think that the new album makes far better use of their strengths than this one does.

This is more like noise rock with some indie and post-punk influences

Well whatever it is, it just really doesn't appeal to me much. It's strange because they seem like the type of band that I'd love but no matter how much I try this it's never clicked.



I haven't listened to their debut as much but I feel largely the same about that
