I really don't see any core-ish influence here...

Seems Like there is some in the way the guitar is played but I am not well versed in "core".

Zomg u cant here teh brekdowns?!!?!1/1? That's all the core-isnhess I can hear.

Album seems a little hit/miss.. some songs are sweet, others are kinda meh. Other songs are kinda meh, but then have sweet choruses, so eh.

ppft. Ok kinda. But not really. How watered down?

It's still like a 3.8-4.

Global Domination and Sky's Falling Down slay so hard.

SFD I can understand, but Global Domination? I don't really like slow melodeath.. this is a genre meant for medium to fast speed, not slow stuff.

I could be mistaken, but I'm not remembering any other slooow songs in the same vein of Global Domination. Valley of teh Damned is pretty L33t fast, doncha know.

Have you listened to any other Hypocrisy albums? I can name 10-15 slow songs by them easily. For the most part their slower songs tend to be their best songs actually. Their self-titled album is pretty much all slow-tempo songs.

well Hypocrisy are most well known for their slow/mid-paced atmospheric songs (which is the majority of their songs) so dunno if we're listening to the same band tbh
