This really doesn't bear that much resemblance to Chainheart Machine though. Maybe a little in the riff department but Chainheart Machine is much darker, much faster, more aggressive, and contains no clean vocals. The solos are much less prevalent as well.

like i said before, Wizard, they're not doing anything new, its all been done before and i don't mind plagiarism as long as its done properly.

i know i make it sound like they are my fav band of all time but they're not, i really like the last album even more but as a band they don't mean much to me as Fear Factory does.

Might download this. And while I agree with people their stuff isn't the most interesting or consistently fresh, I don't see how they sound like all the other Melodeath bands.

I'm far from being elite with my music tastes. What I'm more or less trying to say with that comment is that I was in the same boat as you at one point. I've been listening to this sub-genre for a very long time and once you hear stuff like this, it just becomes dime-a-dozen in terms of melody, structure, tempo etc. You will see this one day dude.

Fair enough, whatever floats your boat.

Scar Symmetry is amazing. This is their worst effort, but as a band they are awesome. Christian's vocal's are amazing and the band suffers without them. I hear a lot of dissing of Christian but nothing to support these claims, or any examples of 'better' vocalists.
Although the review is funny, I disagree with it entirely. Flame away, kids.

yeah it's far from an exciting album cover. But really, the music is what matters.

Christian had no problem doing his vocals live. He just didn't want to tour while the rest of the crew did. Solution .45 will probably be the new, more improved, Scar Symmetry.

Solution .45's album is even more boring than this one, half of the songs are worse than the shittiest one off this record.

And the rating of their first three albums close to 4 each kinda dismisses how this band sucks. Pitch Black Progress was fucking unreal.
