Doppelganger is untouchable, however ITUE has grown on me a little.

My buddy and I were having a discussion about this earlier, and I want to know what you guys think:

Would you say that The Fall of Troy (though not necessarily on this album, moreso on their earlier stuff) and Hot Cross are pretty similar bands in terms of sound? And to what degree?

...Hardly at all? Maybe some parts on the self titled, otherwise i can't hear any similarity.

Well, the main similarities that were brought up were the guitars, not only the noodling but the actual sound to the guitars. He contests that, for example, the guitars on "Rockstar Nailbomb" are quite similar in sound to those on "Turncoat Revolution." Also, that when not their not screaming (or Erak doing his higher Manipulator and beyond vox) that they're similar vocally.

The only qualms I have about this album would be the recording quality, and the lack of auto-tune (don't even think im talking about t-pain auto-tune) on his vocals.

Agreed with the review, worst thing they could've come up with.

I still like it, huge FOT fan.

But then again, halfway through Trivium's state, I loved Ascendancy, liked The Crusade and still haven't stopped listening to Shogun.

Same thing with FOT, but in ITUE's case, I already stoppe listening to it...
