This album is pretty good, but its retarded they didn't include Vomiting Winter, that would have been one of the best songs on this, woulda preferred this to, say People and Their Lives.

TFoT have always had bad singing and bad lyrics, but the music is just fine. It's a little disappointing, but not 2/5-worthy.
Although I agree that the first three tracks are by far the best.

nah its pretty bad. the vox on doppelganger and the s/t were really good because he only did what was comfortable.and no, thom has never been the best lyricist, but these lyrics are much worse than they've ever been before. he might as well be singing simple plan lyrics half the time.
"you fractured my heart once again." seriously?
and the music is alright most of the time but it feels watered down even compared to manipulator. for a band with so much potential, this really is a poor album.

same here KritikalMotion. this band was definitely my favorite up through manipulator, and although POTH didn't live up to the ghostship demos, the overall direction they were going seemed promising. when they released panic attack, i thought it was awesome, and assumed this would be one of the poppier songs on the album.
but instead its just the only poppy song on the album that doesn't suck. very disappointing for a band this good.

Listening to this album is the equivalent of not cleaning your ears for an excessive amount of time. Everything sounds vague, dull, and inconsistent. Meaning, that I can't even listen to the album in its entirety. For shame.

I love this album because it forced me listen to their self -titled album instead. Why can't they just make a b-side with music thats more akin to their older stuff or god just make one song thats reminescent of their older material

Lots of people don't like this album, that amazes me, because I love it.
I haven't been into them long, but I am not. I think I might need to listen to more of their stuff then make a good opinon..? Tell me if I'm right or wrong.

if you don't have doppelganger start with that. if you don't find it to FAR surpass this album i will be pretty surprised. their self
titled is my personal favorite, but it was harder to get into at first.

This was just a pleasant surprise for me. Doppelganger was a great disc and i never followed them much after that but my friend gave me this and i haven't delved into it too much but it is waaay better than i thought it would be. Just keep your expectations low, and it's hard to be dissappointed haha!
