The first 4 songs on this are absolute BANGERS, probably the catchiest songs they've written.

The last couple of singles really ignited my need for a new serviceable BB album. The short lengths + the occasional instrumental spark + the harsh approach could work very well all things considered. They also said that the soft moments will be their softest to date so I'm curious about that too.
Also I'm not sure why I (and you all too kinda) keep mentioning the "short lengths" even though they aren't much different than usual

Jammed this and Phobia hard years ago, gonna check this one out again too

It's their second best behind Phobia imo

Phobia brings the nostalgia, this brings the best writing.
I honestly think at this point, Mark and Aaron played more of a part to the great music here than Ben cares to admit. They've fallen off the track since they went.

Idk I think Dark Before Dawn is mostly great cuts (and basically this album part 2 which is fine) but Ember is a bore after the first 2 songs.

Iβd say this and Ember are fairly equal. Iβd say by far the best cut on this is Crawl. Give me a sign, I Will Not Bow, and Hopeless are the next best probably. I appreciate this band for the sheer fact that theyβre the kind of band you could turn on amongst most groups of people (road trips etc) and no one would really take any issue with it. Solid radio rock. Just kind of sad that I donβt think any of their albums will match up to Phobia for me. Still have a few to eventually work through though.
