Very good album, Dopesmoker is amazing, and so is Sonic Titan if not better. The worst part about this is that I will never be able to see Sleep live.

It breaks my heart that I will never see sleep live.

I wish i were like 10 years older then I would have seen sleep and Kyuss. Two bands I feel like I need to see live.

I swear if I did drugs I'd brag about how sweet my trip was while I was listening to this, but alas, I'm a good little boy.

Great review, great album.

At first I thought this was a chore to get through but it's actually a really cool album.

This is one of those albums where you have to listen to the whole thing to get it, even then you most likely still wont get it, and will probobly hate it.

That doesn't really seem like it will give the reader a very objective view of the album or the rest of your review. But you're right; this cd rocks. It's a shame more people don't know about Sleep.

If this is basically like opposite of prog than should it be called retrogressive?

I think Charles nailed the genre. Anyway, I listened to this baked the first 3 times last night because I kept falling asleep but I know I listened to all of it and it is superb! It gets horribly repetitive but its the best repetitive riffs you can listen to. It seems like their totally out of sync but you know theyre not.

I read an interview about this album. Matt Pike said that every single note you hear is were it should be. There is absolutely no improvisation on any of this.

Of course every note was planned out it took like 4 years to make, can you even imagine trying to memorize an hours worth of riffs smoking 2 oz. a day between three people?

This album is too short.
