Yeah, the Beatles were poppier and the Stones were bluesier.

That, and the Beatles were prob the most songwriting-oriented of the 3.

Can't deny Daltrey had plenty of character.

You haven't heard Quadrophenia or Tommy so that's not quite true

(Also the 2 last songs in here are lyrical masterpieces)

Usually, when I'm talking about songwriting, I'm referring to elements like album flow, album cohesion, use of openers and closers, etc. Basically, how well a band conceives an album as a whole. That's how I view songwriting anyway. Lyrics are something completely separate from songwriting for me, although they can compliment it for sure.

Oh I see, but trust me, if you like that, you gonna love Quadrophenia and Tommy, I mean, those are rock operas

Yeah, I'd say I like The Who more than The Beatles. I like all 3 tbh, but if I had to choose a least fave, I might be one of the few to choose the Beatles.

The Who were easily the most talented musically. Townshend and Moon would make my top 10 guitarists and drummers.

Entwistle's a beast. Pete Townshend is also a great guitarist but can't say he's in my top 10 or near it.

These guys must've influenced Deep Purple hard.

Although DP started out in 68, while I believe these guys started out in 65.

They influenced every hard rocking band. My Generation was the first punk song
