First time checking this band and I'm loving it. Nice to see a fairly short run time as well.

yeah for having such a killer lineup it's a shame their new tunes are fairly average. i guess it's the limitations of the genre, thrash has been pretty stagnant for decades at this point. save for a few bands of course.

but in 89 thrash wasn't stagnant, it was still pretty new and exciting

there definitely would have been crap bands but they weren't as common as they are these days -- or if they were, they fell into their well deserved obscurity, as the cream of the crop rose to popularity

lol well hey if you think thrash is as good today as it was back then, that is good for you :D

i just have a hard time finding newer bands that capture the spirit and soul that made the classic shit so good

my point was more that a lot of the popular bands that got big back then, arent good either...

but theres still some interesting stuff nowadays... hoping to finish that list soon Z_z

I don't really get into a lot of modern-day thrash bands either. I've heard a fair few albums and while I don't necessarily dislike any of it - I basically always enjoy it - it doesn't seem to stick either. The ones I end up liking enough to buy are probably releases deemed as "mainstream vanilla" by die hard thrashers like Vektor, Power Trip, that Hypnosia record, the last two Warbringer records, the Enforced record...and I also like more than a few modern records from the old guard (Testament, Overkill, Kreator, Sodom...). Poser stuff probably lol

I guess thrash is more like an 80s thing for me as well
