I think that's wrong. I just recently thought about revoking my 5 for wish... I mean. Title Track and Shine on you crazy diamond are easy 5/5. Welcome to the machine is very very good as well. But Have a cigar.... 3/5 at best.

bassline matched with the synths behind the guitar solo is like Floyd at their prime

I actually got pretty much this picture in my head when i listen to the song, so i guess it scores points for that. Not saying it's bad or anything. But I think it's kind of the weakpoint on the album. Maybe it's just that I'm on an "Animals" craze right now and "animals" is slowly taking over the 2nd spot in my PF ranking.

For me this beats Wish cuz it has more of 'those' moments like the chorus of Us and Them or the solo in Time, but the first half of Shine On... is spine-tingling

WYWH seems more cohesive, sleek and polished than Dark Side imo. But this album pushed the envelope on song writing and managed to capture something really special that isn't carried over to WYWH
