This isn't as professional as Splat's review, but i like it better. That's a pretty big compliment.

It is indeed, and it's hugely appreciated. Think it was always bound to be a bit more informal because of the rating and the nature of the album, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

never in all my life, have I seen eyes as empty as these streets of my city

I like a lot of really personal reviews, i think it's more of the point rather than extremely professional reviews.

It's not bad, but I liked the Format a lot better. This is just too poppy for me.

for the record:

Walking The Dog II is a different version of WTD and sounds nothing like it - or anything else on the album - but is still good.

The acoustic of TYT is differently arranged & shorter but absolutely beautiful.

Finally got around to listening to the whole thing. It's a shame that the best song is the opener, but there are some enjoyable moments in each.

As far as bands with three lower case letters followed by a period, not sure if I prefer moe.

And to the person saying Queen is the best band in the world, I think you mean they were supposed to be. They each were so talented and they wasted it making mostly stupid songs that I feel like a retard for listening to. But there are a few awesome ones.

I can see At Least I'm Not Sad becoming annoying, but for now, it remains a guilty pleasure. The more I listen, actually, the more the background harmonies are EXACTLY like Queen, haha

Trying to think where I can listen to this besides by myself in my car

Haha. It was the first thing I heard from the album so I love it. I think Be Calm and The Gambler are my favourite songs, but I can sing the whole of Take Your Time and it's so awesome.

Hmm I don't know the tune from heart yet. Have to relisten.

What sealed the deal was in Be Calm when he sings that endless triplet melody and then on the beginning and middle of the measures the drums go BUM.....KSH.....BUM....KSH

The female vocals at the start of At Least I'm Not As Sad come off as really cheesy (and hold me back from giving the song a 5/5 rating since it is one of my favorites).
