Caught Primus play this album in its entirety last night. Think they did a great job, not only the performance but the visuals as well. All the gear they used was identical/as close as you can possibly get to what Rush used in the 70s. Wind chimes, tubular bells, double neck guitars, Claypool on keyboards, they seriously went all out in that regard. Only drawback was Claypool obviously can't really sing these songs but overall they did an amazing job.

Oh fuck Les does the keyboard parts too? That rules. I thought it was gonna be just guitar, bass, and drums. Glad they went all out

Imagine listening to this one for the first time when it came out and experiencing the first two songs. Simply amazing.

Indeed. Kirk Hammett stated that hearing Xanadu made him want to become a guitar player.

Learning Xanadu on guitar as we speak and I’m just skipping the solo for now I don’t need that pain in my life

Makes me mad how Geddy plays Xanadu different live and it's a lot more colorful

Indeed, Rush has becomes a legendary band. So, trying to put Rush down, will failed and reinforced their fans. And boost Rush status even higher. They are almost already untouchable. Bad energy is converted into good one ;)

~~another thread in which I end up looking like a schizo because of skele getting banned~~ by MrSirLordGentleman, hahaha, this is a clever funny comment, ahahah.

Run, stop, here: Another excellent album. Full jam, 40th anniversary Special 3CD remastered 2015 released in 2017. "Xanadu" + "Cygnus X-1" still owns. Small rate bump.

Bonus CD1; Full Hammersmith Odeon February 1978 show newly mixed by Terry Brown.

Bonus CD2; Great "Xanadu" cover by Dream Theater (+ misc.)
