I’ve seen people say this is the band’s best work and/or their favorite. Don’t really get that. I’ll admit I haven’t listened to this nearly as much as the rest of their albums after it but it just doesn’t seem very memorable to me. From scythe to scepter is bad ass though for sure and of course the closer countless skies. I ordered this album on Amazon today for $25. Needed it to complete the collection (minus the frail tide). Anyways, who agrees or disagrees?

Album touches me in all the right places. Best melodeath for me. The songwriting is unlike anything else. So calculated, yet so natural. The ebb and fllow, the build up and release gives me goosebumps every time. And it's so well produced. Everything sounds perfect. Sorry what were you asking again?

Fully agree with you GhostShelter. Whilst this is great, I prefer the 3 albums after all of which are 5’s in my book

A couple of years ago this band and album was relatively obscure, I'm glad it gained a lot of momentum here

I find this to have the best individual songs, Vessels has probably the best melodies/memorable parts and Coherence has the best flow for me, but all of those records stand neck and neck for me.
