Not as good as their others but still a nice listen. Gotta end on something monolithic like The Giant or The Hunt with this stuff.

Reviewer is unfortunately focusing too much on what the album is supposed to be as opposed to what it is. If you want a funeral doom album, listen to your favorite album of the genre. Don't criticize a band for defying a genre. To me, this is a fantastic album, period. Regardless of how you categorize it.

Having just reread the review, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Reads like I discuss what the album sounds like, and then I give my reasons for why it's not that great. I also talk about what I DID like about the album. I don't think it failed because it's 'defying a genre', I think it failed because it did a poor job of it. Seems like you're putting words in my mouth to suit your personal bias towards the album.
And lol this review is nearly a decade old, no wonder I cringed a bit reading it.
