I mean... yeah. just because it's not as bad as those albums doesn't mean it's not the same genre.
it's post-grunge in the same way that early Bush and Silverchair were post-grunge. Candlebox is one of the first bands that led to the coining of the term "post-grunge". post-grunge is just used to refer to bands that take the basics of grunge and polish it up for radio without any of the grit or outsider approach. it's influenced by grunge without being grunge which is exactly what the term means.

Any thoughts about candlebox last album? I think it's pretty descent. It's not happy pills but I think it is better than other albums of the genre released the same year.

Candlebox certainly had their day in the sun. I saw them open for Rush on the Roll The Bones tour too. The radio station down here plays You and Far Behind all the time, to the point where I can't stand those songs anymore.
