Sounds like a slick time! I don't know anything about this band, what do they sound like? (or just this album)

this is groovy psychedelic rock. each album has a distinctly different sound though (well, american ghetto is pretty similar to this)

genre-wise? i guess 'psychedelic pop' would fit about right.

yeah, psykonaut pretty much got it right. american ghetto was a little more modern-sounding than this one, though. this one is more like 70's psychedelic rock.

Portugal has a unique sound. its hard to describe. Definitely influenced by the beatles, but does not exactly sound like the beatles

This is my favorite Portugal album.
I'd ever had abrasive charm and catchiness shoved into my face like this.
This album is the perfect length and is varied in songwriting, but tied together into one little niche of sound throughout the entire tracklist.
Having said that, I feel like they made a groove in their sound that they haven't successfully branched out of ever since.

redundant album title is redundant. I can't get into this one, but I'm enjoying Evil Friends quite a lot.

Digging: The National - High Violet
