I find this album highly addictive and highly underrated. Classics like 'Nothingman', 'Corduroy' and 'Better Man' were born on this album, and they're also quite amazing. My favorite is still 'Satan's Bed' though. I'm absolutely in love with the playfulness and craziness of that song. The guitar riff is just too enticing to resist. But overall, great album.

A lot of variety can be found on this album, as with any other from PJ. However, it seems divided-the first half is much more energetic and fuelled by anger-the second half driven true emotions, sadness, depression and experimental ambience. They don't in any way take away from the fact that every song on here is well structured, with a raw energy that somehow differs them from their peers.

"this has much more staying power than ten"
backed.

the first two albums rule but that doesnt take away from how good this is.. love the darker production and the "filler" songs are only like 2 min interludes to some of PJ's best.

Spin The Black Circle is my favorite PJ song, rocks really hard and strays away from the somber mood of the other songs, sticks out like a sore thumb and still works
