same thing as live and dangerous and unleashed many overdubs but still awesome if it doesnt bother you much, it doesnt me too much especially because of the date and recording tech of the day

Was fortunate enough to fall in love with Live and Dangerous long before reading about the overdubs and stuff so my mind just blocks this info up to this day haha. One of my absolute faves for sure.

At Fillmore East, Irish Tour '74 and If You Want Blood You've Got It are also up there with my favorites.

I find it hard to think of this or Live and Dangerous as real live albums in all honesty, they just don't sound live.

Made in Japan is still the best rock live album ever.

99% of Jamie's comments regarding Deep Purple include "Made in Japan is the best" lol

"hat is an ep though, check out the full shows from their time in Japan, electric."

The two versions of MIJ are 76 and 98 minutes so I assume you mean a different one.

My favorite live album ever is either At the Gates - Purgatory Unleashed or, if DVDs count, Sigur Ros - Heima.

seven gill, I was thinking Maiden Japan, for some stupid reason, both are awesome, Maiden is an Ep and the full shows need to be heard, Made in japan is awesome and an LP, sorry for the confusion

Confusion of the albums forgiven. Confusion of Iron Maiden and Deep Purple will be held against you for the foreseeable future.

This is really good, but I really prefer the bootlegs I've heard from this era, despite their lack of quality. The overdubbing really kills it for me, even if the performances are top notch.

I think the overdubbing does the work of fullfilling Halford's incapacity of reaching some notes live, cause as much as he rules, he is truly better in studio

Good review. I can not listen to Halford's voice on this album: terrible. Over all this is in my opinion a littery 'unfinished' album with the worst production ever. A disgrace in the band's impressive catalogue.
