yeah they are kinda bad. and their new stuff is even worse

Reference jokes are lazy and pretension prone.
|
| |
making an offhand reference to a tv show I like might be lazy, but it's hardly pretentious.
Good review btw.

okay, here's some critique Alex:
The biggest redeeming quality is that they can DEFIANTLY...
...there are most DEFIANTLY worse vocalists out there.
...and it DEFIANTLY wont’ be for people that live by this genre.
i think you mean definitely.
You say that Myspace is "creative," and then use it as an example of the album "falling flat on it's face," after which you mention the lack of creativity with this band. seems like "creative" is the wrong adjective to use.
While this bands guitarist might have a few highlights the drums on the other hand really don’t.
You need some punctuation in that sentence somewhere. Coma, colon, dash, something. Also it should be band's.
“This guy has some pretty good drum chops”
Sounds awkward. "Whoa, this guy's a pretty insane drummer", or "This guy's got some serious skill" or simply "This guy's got some chops" would flow better.
With about ¾ of the songs here you get songs that really can’t get out of your head...
This sounds really rough. "Most of the songs here will definitely stick in your head" would flow much better.
But as soon as you get the courage to pop this CD in, it just takes that to a whole new level. The vocals are usually higher then you think many males should be aloud to reach. And if you actually listen to the lyrics they are usually singing about some of the stupidest things.
Overall, this just sounds immature. For example, you say "IT takes THAT to a whole new level." Even in context, i'm not sure what the IT & the THAT are. You need much better descriptions. Also, Matt's vocals really aren't that high(i've heard the album), so that seemed like kind of a weak attempt at humor. And it's not aloud, it's allowed. Also, most pop/punk lyrics are about stupid things, so i don't think that's really an issue. There are actually MUCH more stupid lyrics out there than these.
Anyway, don't take all this too hard haha. It feels like you just rushed the review to me. It's not horrible, and you've certainly got potential. You just need some more practice.
