The burden of proof is on you I can just close my eyes.

Reality is perception.

This much is true. The rest is just poppycock.

The burden of proof is on you actually, the one arguing that we are living in an illusion, which is not the consensus. Although I think "burden of proof" is religiously fueled archaic bullshit.

We'll never conclusively find out if either of us is right, and if the supercomputer conjuring up this intricate unreality decides to take a breather we're fucked, but we won't know it.

But in my opinion, if I can touch it, taste it, feel it, fuck it and hear it, it's real.

This is precisely what i'm saying brother :]

Yes, indeed. However, if our consciousness is a result of our senses which in turn are purely a result of the chemistry in our body, alterations of this can demonstrate a very sharp difference in the way we interpret the world.

I'm sure there is some quantifiable truth that makes matter real and what it is so it is positioned somewhere on the cosmic imprint and stored there until humans find the way there to receive that information. I also strongly believe that despite language and communication between individuals the whole nature of subjectivity means that regarding matters of taste no objective truth can be reached and intersubjectivity is the closest we can ever get to appropriating some form of the reality of the matter.

We can label these things whatever we want, put all kinds of value in how they appeal to us aesthetically, and conjure up any bullshit remark about the socio-political and historical relevance these arty farty things undeniably hold in our logic but all in all, its just a bloated glorification of our personal interest and interpretation of the matter.

To me, this post is a work of art. The way the grey line of the background sits above my post separating it from the one that came before it is harmonically very rich, and I sense a distinct rule of thirds influence over the form of beauty going on when I have scrolled to the middle of the page and three separate posts sit one on top of the other with mine at the bottom. It seems to imply a distinct progression of the human race, we move on, one post at a time.

This is truly a magnificent thing.

This would be true if art was supposed to appeal to everyone. However, art's subjectivity proves that art can be both bloated glorification and introspective, inquiring beauty. It is the advertisement of our personal interest and the invisible eye that peers through the interpretive lens of another human, when executed correctly.

Nope its one and the same the bloated glorification I describe isn't intended to challenge these very personal feelings of introspective, inquiring beauty we receive whether listening to artists as varied as Metallica or Burzum or even non-metal groups like Radiohead or Millionaires (these really are the only four groups that matter when you think about it). It is intended to challenge the social construct that comes along with it, this idea of a "system".

My I.Q dropped after wtachong Alcholol. Every line is let's get fucked up. Also the girl in the blue headband reminds me of my favorite Canadanian synth pop singer Lights.
