That critique of s/t just sounds like you haven't listened enough to familiarize yourself with it. I could a cappella that whole album from start to finish.

I like all their stuff a lot except this album which is just ok for me. Would be better without those annoying scream singing vocals George tries to do

Emerald Street is a fuckin banger. Such a good song to show people unfamiliar with this band what they're all about

This felt like a worse version of Crisis, still solid tho.

After jamming these guys' albums for the first time yesterday and today, my loose ranking is

Crisis > Watch Out > s/t > OC/YC

Jamming Dog's Blood now

Yea man! I had heard select songs from time to time but never jammed any of their albums in full, thought I'd finally change that lol. And for what it's worth, I have both Crisis and Watch Out 4.5'd ;]

Glad you enjoyed! I love Crisis' bangers ("This Could Be Anywhere in the World" is their most anthemic song) but I find that overall Watch Out works much better as a cohesive album. Both slap real ahrd tho.

Fav AOF songs probably go like this:

1. Happiness by the Kilowatt

2. Boiled Frogs

3. No Transitory

4. Waterwings

5. To a Friend

HM: Pulmonary Archery, Accidents, Little Girls Pointing and Laughing, Polaroids. Fuck they have so many bangers, that list prob changes from time to time.

There were a lot of songs I really liked. Mailbox Arson is one of my favorites because I'd already heard it before, but I'll have to jam them more to get a definitive list of favorite songs
