new song is lame, haven't enjoyed either single :[

Album Rating: 2.5
the new song sounds like a better version of the like more traditional punk thing they tried to pull on a lot of this which makes a good chunk of this album feel super super disposable but idk i just wanna hear that reportedly even heavier than dogs blood shit they shelved when they broke up

Haven't listened to this album in a while, but man I was way too hard on it before. It's actually better than Crisis and has some great deep cuts.

definitely not better than crisis but yea this gets waaaaaaaaaaaay too much shit. opening two songs and the northern are classics
|
| |
The Northern is fantastic, and this is definitely their most mature album lyrically. I think this album runs circles around Crisis, not that Crisis is bad by any means. If I had to rank their discog Id go: Watch Out!, ST, OC/YC, Dogs Blood, Crisis.

dogs blood
crisis
watch out
oc/yc
s/t
all at least a 4.5 and bar dogs blood loosely ranked
|
| |
I don't understand which way your ranking goes.
|
| |
Album Rating: 2.5
the way you probably wouldnt want it
|
| |
Putting S/T that low hurts. I guess I can see why someone would like their later work better, but the first two albums are so much better than everything else it's not funny.
|
| |
Yeah but there's no order to that list any way you look at it. The two with the best instrumentals are on opposite ends, the two most chorus heavy are opposite each other... how could anyone make that ranking and be consistent?

Album Rating: 2.5
ok I’ll give em numbers and explanations for you
1.dogs blood - georges best, jordans best, best production, opens with their best song
2. crisis - dallas’s best, about equal to watch out but pushed over the edge by having zero filler which watch out doesn’t quite have
3. watch out - don’t care for white devil at all otherwise perfect album
4. oc/yc - a little samey but it’s highlights are towering career highlights
5. s/t - best guitar wise but also feels like a ton of parts and not a lot of cohesive songs so the whole thing kinda blurs bar 44 caliber polaroids and pulmonary
