i don't get why everybody seems to love orosirian. pretty much every other track is better in my opinion. but yeah i agree with you on the rhyacian climax. the second time, when the strings come in, fuuaark!

I saw them with hevydevy a few weeks ago. they only played the last two albums of stuff (Anthropocentric, Grand inquisitor I, roots and locusts, a song i forgot, and origin of Species), albeit i like everything theyve ever done.



i talked to their bassist after their set and asked them why they didnt play anything pre -centric's, because Precambrian,Aeolian, Fluxion, and Fogdiver all rule, oh-so hard, and he said that:



1) they were promoting their 2 latest releases.

2) they have so many members (being the collective) and they had nothing to do with those albums (minus staps)/didnt practice earlier songs.



makes sense to me, i guess.



i also told him that id been listening to them since Aeolian, and he spit up his beer and said," thats awesome, but that shit is... totally ancient." i figure that played into what they played during their set as well.

great album. seems like people don't like the first side as much. I enjoy it just as much as the second side. Eoarchaean might be my favorite track on here. so heavy.
