when I listen to El Cielo, half of the tracks make me want to go out in the rain and eat a bacon roll. Strange.

Is that a good thing?

Half of those songs make me want to do that. That doesn't mean I'm going to be obese, it just means that if it is a good thing... then only half of the songs are actually any 'good'.

Hence that the album is only a 3. logic is logic.

Maybe you get hungry for a bacon roll for every two good songs?

A nice balance between CWA and EC, though not as good as either. Still, if this was released by anyone other than a Dredg, it'd be a worthy magnum opus...

This is my favorite Dredg album, mostly because I prefer the song structure on here over El Cielo.

this is the best album of the year for me. i disagree with the review somewhat. i dont think dredg could have gone anywhere else after catch without arms. this album is the perfect blend of everything that is fantastic about this band, its 10 times better on vinyl too.

despite its faults, i love this album. it always cheers me up if i'm down. and goddamn you Greer for writing such a great review, now i have no chance of writing one that'll do the album justice

The lyrics seem cynical. The song structures return to their original style which was not simply verse/chorus etc. It's maturer!

The summary for this review is kind of lame, but in a really humorous way.

A great album, I like it. Haven't really got into El Cielo and Catch Without Arms is a bit lame even though it has it's moments, too.

But this one has got many great songs and the interludes are great too. Actually they are so good that it's a pity they weren't made into songs. : | Anyways, the best from Dredg atm, but maybe when I'll get into El Cielo it will be better, dunno.

Pariah is the missing link between el cielo and cwa.every song is beautiful and the stamps work very well. The album flows amazingly.I wonder what will they do next?!!
