Think I'll start with There's Nothing Wrong With Love and work my way through from there so as to hear the evolution of their sound.

mine would probably be Randy Describes, Velvet Waltz and Stop the Show. the cello in the last one is majestic

Probably a smart option.. For me personally when I discover bands through sputnik I usually just start with the highest rated album and go from there if I enjoy the band.

I generally do the same, but I think this will be a cool way to discover these guys. Definitely seem like the kind of band I'd dig.

yeah if you like Modest Mouse there's no reason why you wouldn't dig this. they're like a less spazzy MM. plus they had a huge influence on them

and i think you changed your profile pic, change your avatar by going to community > user cp > edit avatar

Avon, I think Keep It Like A Secret's first three tracks will give you a pretty good idea of whether or not you'll like the band.

Or hell, you can start with there's nothing wrong with love, that's fine too. It's awesome.

Demi, I'd put em just above modest mouse in the pantheon of great indie bands because A. They had three incredible records, MM had two, and B. BtS covers a little more emotional ground.

i've got too much of an emotional connection to Modest Mouse to agree with that dude. Plus MM has 3 incredible albums to me- the first 2 LP's and the Building Nothing comp. Both are ultimate bands but Modest Mouse is just so damn close to my heart. definitely still in my top 5 of all time, even if i don't jam them that much anymore. plus i think Isaac is a better lyricist than Doug.

that said, BTS is probably the more technically gifted band. the guitar work on this thing is just phenomenal.

Yeah, the Building Nothing comp is fantastic, you're right.

I don't know, it's really close, but if I had to pick one I'd go with BtS. Mostly because Perfect From Now On is a top three record for me.

BTW I chose the avatar I did to try to get some exposure for that album.. Its in my top 10 albums for sure and I feel as if nobody knows of it... My own little hidden gem
