Yup, U2 really took a turn for the worst with this one.

^^^ are you serious? This is probably regarded as U2's best album, and if not, then it is second behind "Achtung Baby".

Any reasons why you think they took a turn for the worst??

I think it's because they kinda lost that rawness that they had on "Boy" and "October" here.

Overall for me, this is their best album. For guitar work, Achtung Baby is definitely the best though.

They're both brilliant albums. I think that's there genius in the late 80s/eraly 90s period, they created two albums at complete opposites from each other, both wiht outstanding material, that leaves fans unagreable in deciding which is the greatest.

Good review. Incredible album. My favorite U2 album, but I still haven't heard Achtung Baby. I really need to hear that.

They did lose the rawness of their earlier albums, but the polish works great with this album. I love the early albums too, and even if this sounds a little different, it's still great.

Sweet ass album, specially those first four tracks, awesome vocals, guitar and lyrics. Bullet The Blue Sky and Haven't Found What Im Looking for are two of my favourite songs of all time.

The Edge rocks on this album

definately U2's best album IMHO. although not a huge fan of U2, they make some great music, and this is one of the greatest music i've heard in a LONG time. really beautiful music and Bono does have a pretty good voice that some may find it takes a little getting used to. great album, decent review.
