I'm listening to Masque atm and it has so much more dynamic songwriting. Really good. This album is kinda boring for some reason. Kinda samey

Masque has some good stuff like Child of Innocence and Pinnacle, but I can't stand the boogie rock tracks. I think Song for America is their best of the three first albums.

The only song on Masque that should be cut is the opener. It’s not that good and it was only written because the label wanted a hit single

I take back what I said about this, this grows on me atm. But it's definetly not as hard hitting as their earlier stuff

Going through the Kansas discog rn. I think thd violin playing on this album in particular is exceptional.
