lol. Kayo Dot is definitely a lot more than an "extension" of maudlin, and is a pretty distinct project. likewise maudlin is far more than just something like "early Kayo Dot." there were lots of things that maudlin "was" that Toby didn't like and made the change for a very conscious reason. the only Kayo Dot release that could have actually been made by maudlin was Choirs (maybe Hubardo if you're really stretching it). i agree that people shouldn't complain about not having more maudlin, but because maudlin did all that it needed to do, not because Kayo Dot has somehow still been maudlin.
