Well with Slayer that's just something you'll have to deal with.

Even though the solos are bad, I really couldn't imagine them playing them any other way.

Fo sho. a 'Slayer' solo is so necessary in one of their songs...it feels weird without one.

Probably cause they're just as chaotic as the song.

Hooray for whammy-bar abuse and mindless shredding!

I always enjoy the song, including the solo, regardless of what song im listening to cause i like this album a lot. But after listening to 3 or more songs, it gets a little annoying. I seem to be the only one with this problem so this will probably grow on me more and ill prolly end up liking it a lot more.

Anyone else think that the opening riff to Jesus Saves is awesome? I know I do.

^agreed... Also raining blood is just a classic "live" kind of song. Pulse of the Maggots reminds me alot of raining blood in the way that its just so damn crazy!

Let me begin by saying this... I really love metal, and thrash metal. When I first heard this album, I loved it because of the intensity and speed. A couple years later, when I get the album, I am disapointed. The songs all sound the same, the solos are bad, the riffs are all the same, and the lyrics are lame. And I've heard much faster music, because of my recent interest in speed power metal (DragonForce, and yes they are very different, but much faster.)

So its a fun album... for one or two listens in my opinion.

slayer's solos suck dick, they are awful as are Metallica's, they are pentatonic wankery, both bands are capable of writng good music, well until cliff died in Metallica's case, but all of them suckat writing solos.

Metallica owns solos, and Slayer owns riffs. Thrash is not always meant to be good music. Metallica was better with Cliff, but still awesome after he died. This Message Edited On 07.04.06

metallica has better riffs than slayer, megadeth owns solos and most of the songs on this album sound the same with the exception of raining blood
