Sputnik is sooooo not the place to have a religious debate. I used to have debates like this on 1UP (a video game site) in a club called "Does God Exist?" Shit got pretty heated.
well perhaps you should have thought of that before trying to implicate your faith as 'bigger' than me

Rasputin, I would back your last comment. "not the fools who distorted history and the subsequent power hungry individuals who derived ludicrous conclusions for their own personal gain." I agree entirely.
Moreover, the bloody hands of organizations like the Catholic Church need to be chopped off, in my opinion. This Message Edited On 05.17.09

"well perhaps you should have thought of that before trying to implicate your faith as 'bigger' than me"
I already gathered that you're an idiot from your review, but what the hell are you talking about? I said PEOPLE'S faith, not my own.
|
| |
I'm above the faith of people who believe a man who died was resurrected and that after they die, they'll arrive at the pearly gates to the open arms of a black man who died 2000 years ago. I guess that also sort of makes them the idiots for believing nonsense.

Anywho, I wonder if this review will be deleted. Our beloved dictator Jom may not take too kindly to any of this.
|

Well in lieu of your last comment I wouldn't be surprised... Damn

Freedom of speech is not tolerated on sputnikmusic.com
|

You could have the most atheistic, nazi, or southern Baptist views and most of the users wouldn't care but, yeah, the ones running the site seem to want tolerance in the form of absence of discussion...
|

holy shit. its almost like im on 4chan. why do people care so much about what others believe in?
|
| |
Because if we didn't harass eachother about our beliefs, we would have nothing to talk about. For example, Swano is gay.
|
| |
Um, because SKUDstorm, if people didn't "care" what others believe in than the world would be even more fucked up.
|

How so?

no no no wrong

If the neo-cons in the U.S. decided they weren't going to tolerate Islam anymore, than every Muslim would be rounded up and gassed. Trust me, I've sat in a Baptist service enough times to know. 0_0
The attitude now is mostly, "well, all we can do is pray for them." In my opinion, that's better than, "Get the pitchfork."
|
| |
Well if they didn't care, then they would tolerate it. Therefore, you are an idiot.
|
| |
I actually think that the fundamentalists in the US would have a tough time rounding up the followers of a religion which is based around the concept of war.

Not relaly, for the most part Muslims are passive, but then there are all these crazy radicals that want to be Martyrs. Thats when stuff happens.

I never said Muslims were violent, my own heritage is from a Muslim country. I highly doubt my grandmother is going to try to kill anybody. What I'm saying is that Islam is, in essence, Arab nationalism, and it was founded in order to unify Arab tribes so they could fight off invaders. It was contrived as a front against forces opposing Arab dominion in that region. Muhammad was simply a fighter of a cause, and much like Christianity has done to Jesus, his teachings have been completely distorted. In other words, it was created for the sole purpose of battle and survival. This Message Edited On 05.17.09

"Well if they didn't care, then they would tolerate it."
Are you brain dead? By their very NATURE they are forced to care. They are forced to have opposing views. If they didn't have the radical views they have, then they would not be baptist/catholic/muslim/hindu in the first place.
|
| |
What I'm saying, if you do not care about what someone else believes than you obviously tolerate it. If you were so opposed to someone's religion that you had them completely exterminated, then they must bother you to some degree.
