I'll play this any day, still. Top of the genre.
I reviewed this as a 4; it definitely proved to be a 5 after all these years.

Far-future dystopian wasteland music. Big fan of this album. There are some awesome moments (last minute and a half of "Dynamic", which came up on my Spotify shuffle just now).

Great album indeed. Whish, this one had the production of The Pulse of Awakening

I think the production works for the atmosphere, I also feel TPoA is their weakest album so I may have something against it
|
| |
Imo Pulse sounds a bit too much like all the other synth metal out there, this one has a really unique atmosphere

nice, gonna listen to this now

moistcr1tikal frequently namedrops these guys as his favorite band. I wonder how many people have found them because of him

I agree with you about the atmopshere. I just wish it had a bit more punch.
Productions in general became more and more stale. Good example: Megadeth: Until (and including Risk) each album had a distinct sound (ok, Youthanasia was quite dry too), but since The System has failed, they all sound soo much alike. But okay, I digress.
Antares certainly has the most consisting song writing quality out of the 4 albums.
Did you guys like the Obsydians songs? I think they chose poorly concerting the vocalists. Except for the guy of Ascension. That was a cool song despite the lyrics.

Ascension is fantastic, yeah. It's just as good as my favorite Sybreed tracks. I could never understand the lyrics anyway so that wasn't a problem, lol

This album and the debut are major throwbacks, Isolate still hits hard
