Do it man. Give it another shot. What I recommend is looking at some of the more prolific writers on the site, seeing what they do, and try to imitate it. Not completely; put your own personal spin on it, but a lot of the staff writers know what they are doing, even though some of them come off as the most giant jackasses of all.

i could do that... but apparently i need to first up my writing skill... none the less, thank you all for the comments. i might delete this and start over.

Naw, don't do that. Let it be, it could be a good frame of reference for the future. Besides, removing the review also removes the comments, and some of these might be helpful later.

It's not so much your writing skill. People will generally forgive (and offer suggestions for) poorly worded sentences and things of that nature. That is the type of thing people have patience for and expect will slowly get better as you continue to write. The issue lies in grammatical errors and misspellings because those could be fixed with a simple spelling/grammar check on most word-style programs. It implies laziness (even if the implication is wrong).

did i really have that many?

Instead of deleting it you should go back and edit the review. Fix your mistakes and make it a more enjoyable read. (even though I was pissed off the entire time I spent reading this review cause its my fav album that you just happened to be bashing.) Anyways learn from your mistakes and for your next review take a little more time to understand the album your judging.

did i really have that many? Even a few shows that you probably didn't ever run the spell/grammar check. Which then implies that if there's only a few it's only by luck and not because of any direct quality control. If you don't have microsoft word I can get you the links for a few different free programs.

ninjuice: Colors is a far more polished, consistent, tasteful way to shred than Fortress on any level. BTBAM shows a distinct maturity in their songwriting that PTH doesn't have yet (only their 2nd record) and can keep it up for most, if not all, of a record whereas Fortress was completely front-loaded with the best tracks while the last half or so completely blended or was utterly forgettable.
And Traced In Air is better done and stronger than Fortress on so many levels it's not even funny.

except BTBAM suck a dick (well actually just the singer) and they go on and on and on and on and on and then you realize the song is only one minute done and you want to hurt yourself

I know exactly how you feel gyromania so don't give up after try. Just do what people have told you. Study some of the reviews and reviewers and try again. I agree with your review though.

Fortress' best track is the its closing track, it's a pretty consistent album. And okay Willie, I confess, I didn't use spellcheck at all, nor did I really proof read. The words I spelt wrong were only off by like a character though and were still used in the right context. Regardless I accept and appreciate what you've said and I could probably do a lot better with an album I enjoy and a good spellchecking application.

great, add one more to the 'this review was not well written'

I could probably do a lot better with an album I enjoy and a good spellchecking application.
Google Docs:
This is probably the easiest one to use because there is nothing to download or install on your computer. Google Docs has a free d0cument program that has spell check (although it doesn’t have grammar checking). It allows you to save your d0cuments and come back to them using the same screen name and password you use for your gmail accounts. This is highly suggested over typing directly into the Sputnik review editor. On a side note, Google Docs also has a spreadsheet and presentation program as well.

Open Office:
Open Office is a free, multi-platform office suite that is (mostly) compatible with Microsoft Office and iWork. Of the two free programs, this is easily the more powerful of the two. It also has a word d0cument program and it can do basically anything Microsoft Office can, including spelling and grammar check. In addition it also has many (loosely) equivalent products as Microsoft Office. Also, because it is open source, there are many add-ons available for it. Give it a look.

Massive, false sweeping statements + quite a few spelling mistakes = neg
your arguments are really brief too.
