dont get me wrong. i like this album a lot. i've been a fan since remission came out. this album is good but its far too accessable for me. Its damn brilliant and the songwriting is excellelant as usual. mastodon do prog very well, I just wish they'd return to the harder edge of their first release. I mean even metallica stepped out of the underground with their album and justice for all....and i think mastodon is equal to metallica as far as talent. they deserve their success....its just kinda depressing to me..lol...
