I am also tolerant of nu metal (L.D. 50, anyone?) but this is a truly horrible album. The only song I can actually listen to is Everyone. They never break out, they never do anything unexpected. They serve up crap, pure and simple. If you really like crappy nu metal, get Sinner by Drowning Pool. It is also simple, but it is still good in some ways.

The way you like it was cool in 7th grade.
The album cannot be that bad really.

There seems to be nothing redeeming about this album. I personally can't find one song I find worth listening to.

I never realized how bad Adema fans are before. People don't notice them as often as the fanboys of bands who are still popular or even talented, but there are some really dense people who like Adema.

I really like this album. I think it's quite good, especially for nu-metal. I haven't heard any of their later work since I've read numerous times that it pales in comparison.

The guitars are tuned to drop-D which shows that the guitarists can barely play
Not necessarily true. I thought they played on 7-strings, but maybe you're right. Anyway, I play in drop D sometimes, but this isn't because I can't play power chords. It can give you a bigger reach of notes. I'm sure the guitarists for Adema can play power chords, but they choose to play in drop D. Hell, Adam Jones plays in drop D, and Peter Lingren (sp?) does sometimes. Are you going to tell me that they can't play, constant?

korn, linkin park, slipknot, metallica

wikuk, you're absolutely right for once. Korn is by far their best album. They soared with originality, and all of Jon's emotions were released into the making of that album. After that, they slowly lost material. Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory EP and LP are also pretty damn good. They wrote some catchy and emotional songs. I know that people like ShadowsFallen think Vol. 3 is Slipknot's best, but I agree that Slipknot is their best album. Corey's voice was more full and powerful back then. It has become more hoarse and raspy with each album. Also, I think that Joey's drumming is the best on there. Back then, Slipknot was pretty original, too. Not so much musically, but they emerged into the nu metal scene as one of the hardest bands out there. They combined elements from different bands like Slayer and Korn and really took the industry by surprise, giving hope to millions of teenagers around the world. As for Metallica, I am no fan of their music, or heavy metal for that matter. However, I can perceive and appreciate the declining quality and originality of their music since their arrival in 1983.

actually, i like volume 3 more (a tiny bit) but it was their most popular album
and i'm also not a fan of metallica but their first albums were the popularestThis Message Edited On 11.01.05

It's mediocore. I'd expect something more out of the half-brother of Korn.

Anyone can make an Adema album. Here's how you do it.
1. Buy a CD case and a Big Mac.
2. Eat the Big Mac and take a shit a few hours later.
3. Put the turd in the CD case.
You now have an Adema album.

it's nu-metal, not nu-rock

Giving In is a decent song. besides that.... bleh.
Also, ragging on an artist because of their tuning is kind of pointless. I know tons of artist that use the dreaded dropped D or C tunings that can kick a lot of standard purists in the bumholio. for more information on how ignorant bashing guitar tunings is, please see the above examples given by ocelotThis Message Edited On 02.09.06
