Mongrel is a monstrosity for sure. Like some of the heaviest and most chaotic moments in all of music on it. But this one just digs under my skin. They’re both amazing, but I like this one a little more.

Mongrel has some epic riffs but it is terribly disjointed. Like in terms of songwriting and flow this is superior in every way, this actually feels like an album. Mongrel feels like a bunch of epic riffwank slapped together with duck tape.

@demon if you share that sentiment about Mongrel you’d be surprised that this is even the same band. It’s so cohesive and well put together. Highly recommend. It’s one of the only metal adjacent records I can still listen to without wanting to jump off a cliff
