This is still the best "dark" black metal album I've ever heard. I love me some fancy fairy BM (Bergtatt, Ecailles de Lune, Aria of Vernal Tombs, Wind Trees Shadows of the Past, Aura, Hail Wind Hewn Oak list goes on).

There's a handful of gritty more evil sounding BM albums that I love as well, but this sits atop them. I'm dying for something else from these guys.

I've heard whispers that they'll do one eventually, in one form or another. Seems like it's intended, but there's absolutely no timescale to go by.

Idk if what I said in that sound off still holds true considering I love Summoning. Not sure why I brought them up in the first place, but whatever. m/

This literally sounds like they took one a 10 second part of a drudkh song and made it 10 minutes long instead.

summoning is ok yeah but this is more emodark. I mean, summoning has too much happy sounding synths man how are you going to reflect the darkness of your soul? Fuck composition this is real atmospheric bm grimforests and their shadows. Their shadows? I'm shadow. The capabilities of human intelligence seem to limit the graveforests. If one cannot restrain the beast, how is one to fashion a shadow of his own. This is just dark shit mannnnnn.

no fuck you. If I have to read these shitposts I'm going to shit post back. These fuckers put out one mediocre album and you're saying they're better than Summoning, an accomplished band with an entire discography. Dol Goldur fucking wrecks this album. FUCK. YOU.

Not to mention you're comparing a derivative band with entirely original masterminds. GO fuck yourselves

" If I have to read these shitposts"

Didn't realise someone was holding a gun to your head and making you read this. If that's the case, I can totally understand the asshole attitude because there is no way you could get this worked up over people like a band you don't, right?
