The bass in all the 80's metallica album mixes were probably all quieter than in every 90's metallica album. Although the Kill Em All bass mix is pretty decent.

i love bass when its as loud as a third guitar, rust in peace has it down. i forgot my copy of MOP has altered bass tracks to be loud as fuck...load has the best bass sound by far lol.

steve DiG just solos over the entire album lol but it is so loud and perfect tone...i wish all albums were like that. its stupid that the entire fourth member of the band can barely be heard on most albums.
