Even The Year the Sun Died was good.

Yeh was just jamming this one earlier today, rip Warrel so hard...
Is Nevermore comparable to Sanctuary whatsoever? Looks like they have some tasty albums
|
| |
Nevermore has more progressive/Thrash metal sound and less power metal sound.
Check dreaming neon black then dead heart
|
| |
Dreaming is their darkest album and prob their best..dead heart is prob their most consistent overall
The godless is also great and very powerful.

Pretty different. Nevermore is generally heavier and kinda more streamlined/mainstream, but Dane's vocals are good still and the musicianship is even better. The best Nevermore tracks are also really amazing. I'd start with The Politics of Ecstasy if you want a thrashier one, This Godless Endeavor for something more overtly progressive

A significant leap from the debut.

I've always found it a point of contention that this was somehow the Nevermore rough draft despite being better than most (if not all) Nevermore albums.
