The only track off that where I'm completely surrounded by the Orb of Beauty is in Untitled 3 - the quaint scratches of yak's hair on nylon string, the slow crescendo. The minimalism.

i actually LOVE my bloody valentine...and its the whole atmosphere that animal collective make that is beautiful, not just one little melody in a song. mpp sounds...heavenly, or spiritually transcendental maybe, the gorgeous layers of electronic effects create an environment, and with the actual melodies it feels like you just want to hold hands with everyone and close your eyes and feel in one with nature. idk how else to explain it. this band's atmosphere im not really feeling at all, if there is even any there.

Sigur Ros is beautiful.

SotL is beautiful.

Can't we just listen to both of them and revel in their beauty?

merriweather you might also try listening to some of the standout tracks for a little while and slowly delving into the album. I recommend: Tippy's Demise, Don't Bother They're Here, Even (Out) +, Another Ballad for Heavy Lids, and maybe the opener?

No girl you HAVE to listen to "Meaningful Moment Through A Meaning(Less) Process."

You should listen to m83's Saturdays=Youth because it's got that fuzzy ethereal feel of Loveless and the happy, retro vibes of Animal Collective's discography.

No man but I'm not even really that hip most of my pie chart is metal/black metal and it will probably stay that way once I get all my ratings back and I even gave Best Coast and Vampire Weekend 1.5s and I wasn't being ironic.

Well, I'm glad that you at least love that song. They truly did achieve a lot without doing much at all. As for this album, I still think Tippy's Demise is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.

Unfortunately it's my second least-favorite album by them but it's still a good 4 and it would work well in this case.

Dead Cities is still just mindblowingly phenomenal though.
