...can someone PLEASE explain to me how this can be a 4.5 or 5? i get that its good chillout music to relax or fall asleep but...idk...is this album a joke? its literally just super soft notes mooing on and on like a cow.

or listen to it on an airport floor as you wait for your flight at the end of the most incredible year of your life spent abroad meeting new people from which you have travelled 4 hours on a coach and need sleep and are almost passed out but can't sleep because the floor is cold but stars of the lid are keeping you sane

So your definition of beautiful is that one Animal Collective harmony where they go "I get lost in your curls" and you're kind of forced to stop "Bluish" and play it through another ten times? And not minimalism?
I might be able to work with that.
Listen to some more Broken Social Scene and Deerhunter and maybe even some My Bloody Valentine. Then come back to me with some thoughts.

Yeah I'm actually really close to 5'ing this too. At some point it ended up being one of my top played albums of all time and it really is just gorgeous.
merriweather have you given it a close listen/headphone listen yet? It really is an intense grower.
