i prefer the latter
it makes for a more intense experience in its context while this is comparatively all over the place
i guess you could say this is more of an album while f#a# is one piece

I tend to save albums like this for once-in-a-blue-listens, for me at least it would lose its impact if I jammed it too often. Agreed though; I'm listening to Liquid Swords atm and as much as I love it, it just doesn't come close to effecting me like this does

oh yeah thats completely understandable man. this conveys more moods and emotions, but as a cohesive piece few things can touch f#a#

I suppose I feel that they are just that little but more refined here compared with infinity, but really each of the first three gy!be records pose a massive claim to being their best release.

Totally understandable dude but isn't there the odd moment here that makes you think 'unnecessary, are they taking the piss? or That is a blatant piss take!'

2014 post rock bias?

It all adds to the experience Zak man. It's as self indulgent as music gets, but the atmosphere it creates is insane, and it

makes the climaxes even more immense through juxtaposition.

Now that I think about it it does get a bit indulgent at times but I don't give it a fuck.

@Zak There's many highlights for me, but the whole second half of Sleep and the creepy disturbing strings/drone bit in Static really standout to me.

Ha!

So hard to choose man, full of classic moments. Right now I'd say the climax in static, last 5 minutes of Sleep and the wall of sound explosion 5:30 into Antennas to Heaven. How bout you?

The droning in the Static climax man, Jesus Christ. Its like a horror movie; infinitely unsettling but too gripping for you to look away.

How can they make something so chaotic sound so good?

For me about 7mins into Storm where it all quietens to a lull again after the full on assault.
