2020 might not be the shittiest year in existence if these guys released a new album (but that ain't happening)

i really do love how these guys have the obvious swedish dm influences but there are various moments that the eastern/asian influences shine through on all three of their albums

MY GUARDIAN STAAAARRRR
THE BLACK SUUUUUNNNN
no seriously the lyrics fucking rule on this album too

actually i like this one more than banquet too - lots of cool melodies and harmonies and far fewer of those melodeath gallop riffs i don't like much
also sounds better

Anyone that's a fan of this band should definitely check out Kenji Nonaka's other band Another Dimension that I just recently added to the database if they haven't already. They're a bit different than Intestine Baalism so it's not quite the same, but Kenji still brings some good riffs.

another dimension is decent, but i think deadly spawn is better, which jiro ito's band (one of the guitarists on banquet)

Don't think I've heard them yet, I have to give them a listen!

Never heard of these guys before a few days ago but just listened to all 3 albums back to back. Very good stuff. Makes me realize I've been missing a lot of good MDM all these years (I kinda thought the genre was on the death bed tbh). I think Banquet is probably my favorite of the 3 but they're all really solid.
